  5. First time here. Why on earth am I always attracting feminists? I'm not even so sympathetic to your cause so it's weird. I believe in equality of course, but I find that most feminists I know usually fail at defining their movement. They go overboard. For instance, setting culture aside, its a given that marriages are built on mutual love, respect etc so when an advert says "If I dont take care of him, who will?" does it necessarily mean that the man doesnt do his bit in taking care of the woman? Couldnt it just have been pointing out that men are often sloppy at matters bordering on personal hygiene? And isnt marriage really about balancing weaknesses and strengths? The funny thing is if the advert had man saying "If I dont take care of her who will?" your conclusion might very likely have been "women don't need to be taken care of. They are strong, independent blah blah blah whatever whatever". Anyway I dont want to start my own blogpost here, this is getting way too long. Thanks for visiting mine. And FYI this wasn't a rant...I'm merely trying to understand something. You rooted for Chelsea...thats enough to win my mouse-click.lol.

  7. @Doug, depends on the culture that the feminist want to set aside, is it the culture of you dont talk when your husband is talking with his relatives or you even excuse them completely? Or the culture of girl-child is too be thot how to do domestic chores and boy-child not? I can go on and on.

Abt the dettol advert, remember is being like that for more than 3 yrs, what abt the angle of balance? Like showing the man just buying the soap and taking it home to his wife? So, couldn't it have being that the husband or child of the woman thinks about her too? Change is the only thng that works?

Well, dwont you rather attract feminist?

  8. "well wont I rather attract feminist?" - yah actually, aside from the fact that in all honesty most men annoy me with the way they talk about women, I find that the feminists in my life are thinkers. And really any other type would find me boring.lol.

  14. We can do with more creative and assertive artistes like Asa,Infinity and 9ice,rather than everyone trying to copy one American hiphop star or the other. My only problem is that female acts in this country have still to bloom on stage (they are way too timid ).If Asa can break the ice, it'll be to our general good.
