Why I blog about Africa

I was tagged by Black Looks as to why I blog about Africa. Hmmm do I blog about Africa? I think I blog not about Africa but about all within the Africa.

I do this because:
  1. I am an African.
  2. Black is Beautiful.
  3. We the Africans know where the shoe pinches.
  4. We believe in reaching out to the world.
  5. We believe in Development.
  6. We co-exist with the rest of the world.
  7. We are blesssed with human resources and natural resources.
  8. We have a lot to say and share.
  9. We are the universe, we are diverse.
  10. We don't waste our pains, we learn from them and the make us better and stronger.

    Ok. I've responded to your tag on my blog. And I quite frankly don't understand what Vera and the rest are saying about you not having posted your reasons for blogging about Africa yet. Isnt that what you listed in those 10 points? Or am I missing something?

    Interesting to read your statements. It seems quite natural that you would blog about the place where you live and love.

    And you blog about Africa also presumably because it's home??? I'm curious about how you celebrate Christmas where you are. I read that half the country is on the move during this time of the year and that muslims and christians celebrate. is that true?

    And do you do the UK/US/Australia bit with the turkey, Euroepan traditions of fish and duck, or some other variation?

    My Igbo people say that "if a man did not know where the rains started beating him, he would not know where it stopped beating him". You're doing good talking about Africa, StandTall. If you don't talk about and know nothing about your roots, talking other's is only but with empty pride.

    Katztales: Yes, you are right Africa is home. It has nurtured me and disappointed me(no thanks to our leaders) but in all, it's where I live. I don't blog about Africa in the real sense but everything I blog about, feminism, gender issues, women's human rights, my experience, my cats are all from Africa/Nigeria perspective

    About Xmas: a lot of people that stay in the city like I do, always travel home for celebration and end
    of the year party with their families, relatives and friends. People throw a lot of knock-outs during this time. People kill and eat chicken as well as goat meat.
    The Muslim do the ram killing and travelling too during id-el-kabr
    and they travel home again during xmas
