The recent death, disasters and killingsI have being in a sober mood since Haiti earthquake and the following up news in Haiti has done nothing to lift my spirit, moreso, the Iran plane that crash landed injuring 46 people and the Ethiopian Airline crash that killed 90 people have done more damage to my spirit than good. Too much bad news in one month. And the crisis in Jos, Nigeria again! OMG, I am tired of sad news!!!...

On to lovely lucky:
Lucky was there on Christmas day. She made me miss my cats so much but her friendliness attitude made my christmas dinner with her family very superb. Lucky was a gracious, friendly and lovely cat. I played with her without her making me feel I was a stranger intruding into her life unlike her sister Fluffy who was ready to sratch the hell out of my hand for daring to touch her! But just 3 days ago, Lucky passed away from an illness suspected to be due largely to plant poisoning.
This is painful! Lucky you are missed!!! Goodnite dear girl!!!p.s:

i can feel your pain am a former owner of 7 cats! beautiful and very intelligent animals love them... Was shaken too by esp the ethiopian airlines crash thats my airline!!!!
You are right bad news in all places but we need to keep on and be positive!

Most all houseplants are poisonous to cats. It is too bad about Lucky.

Sometimes it's better to put your head in your pillows and not watch the News ! but that's of course no solution either. How sad that the cat passed away so suddenly, plants sometimes can be very dangerous and we don't even know it.
The news everywhere is so bleak and I feel better when I cat blog too. I also feel better when I hear of the good people do in the world. I hear you about missing your cats. I have six and when I am away miss them terribly!
It is sad when life ends, human or animal.
To keep pets (humans as well) safe, poisonous plants should not be kept indoors.
So sad to loose a dear cat who was
loved! Dear Lucky will be missed.

Oh, so sorry to hear of this. I keep all my plants outdoors because I don't know which are poisonous and which aren't, and since my babies climb, I can't even put them up high.
