Cats on Tuesday: England without my Cats

I have missed bragging about my cats!!! My sweet sweet Scofield and Garfield. I am off to school in England in a few weeks and taking them with me is not an option. My husband will be joining me in a few weeks and I wonder who will be in charge of my cats. Nobody for now. I choose not to worry about how I will sort this out yet because am trusting God and the Universe! My cats will be fine but will I be fine without having them snuggling next to me for the next one year?

They have being good kids. Socfield skin issue is still a big concern but am sure again that he will be fine. Hey all cat lovers on Gattina Cats on Tuesday... say hello to all my lovely purr angels!!!

Cats on Tuesday: Cats met in da UK by Standtall

CATS ON TUESDAY is a group of cat lovers who share pictures and/or stories about their cats once a week, hosted by Gattina.

These are the amazing cats met on my way and during my visits to a few places in London. I will miss them!

Lara, she is not so friend!

This cat did not wait me for me to get close.

Lucky, she passed away.

Fluffy, she is so unfriendly and does not warm up to strangers

She is a cat in my area and allows me to play with her anytime we see each other. I still don't know her name.

Cats on Tuesday: I met Lucky, I loved Lucky but is now goodnite!!!

The recent death, disasters and killings
I have being in a sober mood since Haiti earthquake and the following up news in Haiti has done nothing to lift my spirit, moreso, the Iran plane that crash landed injuring 46 people and the Ethiopian Airline crash that killed 90 people have done more damage to my spirit than good. Too much bad news in one month. And the crisis in Jos, Nigeria again! OMG, I am tired of sad news!!!...
.............................................................................................................
On to lovely lucky:

Lucky was there on Christmas day. She made me miss my cats so much but her friendliness attitude made my christmas dinner with her family very superb. Lucky was a gracious, friendly and lovely cat. I played with her without her making me feel I was a stranger intruding into her life unlike her sister Fluffy who was ready to sratch the hell out of my hand for daring to touch her! But just 3 days ago, Lucky passed away from an illness suspected to be due largely to plant poisoning.
This is painful! Lucky you are missed!!! Goodnite dear girl!!!

Cats On Tuesday: My Companions and other Funny Images

CATS ON TUESDAY is a group of cat lovers
who share pictures and/or stories about their cats once a week,
hosted by Gattina.

When I say cats rule don't doubt me. As soon as I get back from Bangalore-India, my cats showed how much they have missed me by the way they occupied my resting bed as soon as I lie down and were there till I woke up. Standtall Husband captured us all (lol)

Now what were they going in circles for? Lol. I am sure they thought I was going to the kitchen so they can follow me for food.

What manner of sleeping posture is this? Well, Smallville seemed to be enjoying his sleep near my bag.

My proud Scofield with all the terrible cuts I met on his face when I got back. They (the other cats) are always giving him marks!

Copy Cat. WHo copied who? Smallville and Daddy Scofield!

Cats On Tuesday: A visit to the Vet

You never know what this is all about
Packed inside a cage, you are
Where your purring, growling cannot change a thing

Tearing into the cage only bring scolding
You are captured for life
That is the feeling

The noise, the commotion,
the confusion as you were carried
only gets you more frightened
But it brings little sympathy!

Then you arrived
a place where your destiny is decided
Where he's waiting with a forced smile

You never can tell what awaits you
Even with the fixed, forced smile
You know it's a facade

Until the momment arrived
You are torn, dissected, dived into
With the "everything is fine" assurance!

Then you saw the green stars
The yellow moon and red sky
As you passed out!

That is a visit to the VET
For the PET
Called the Feminist CAT!

Cat on Tuesday: I am a Proud FEMINIST Cat

I am a happy cat
cuz I am a feminist cat

I purr with joy
 I am with a free-spirit
I am with whom understands my essence
She is contented with my catitude life

She adores my purpose
My purpose of snuggling next to her and on her

Today is a new day in our home
I am a proud feminist cat

I am looking out the window
with a broken heart to see her go to work
and leave me to miss her absence

I look forward to the time she calls out to me
announcing her arrival

Here she comes but with goodies (yummy!)
I am more than happy to be her pet
I am a proud feminist cat

Cats on Tuesdays: Becoming my Cats

Standtall - The Activist thinks she is becoming her cats and not the other way round. I am fast becoming them in the following departments:
  1. Sensitivity
  2. Curiousity
  3. Observation
My new found sensitivity will soon land me in trouble as I cannot stand anyone touching me or placing thier hands at my back in a vehicle ( and this is done a lot since we are always packed tightly together in a bus). I am so annoyed about people that will bump into you without "excuse me or sorry". Where is our etiquette these days? If anyone makes screeching noise or play with thier keys, it just gets worse. You should see my feline cats twisting thier ears at any slight noise. Hmmm, I am done for.

Don Scofield curiously taking a nap (lol)

I am now so curious about something and everything. I won't be able to explain the level of my curiosity or what I am curious about. Thank God they are kinda positive stuffs and I don't go getting into people's affairs. I am just darn curious about developmental issues... but my feline kids are curious about the content of my bag, what goes on out the door etc.

Garfield there, observing where to bite on me-leg

What am I observing really? It's all entwined. There is no how you will be curious and not observe stuff. No how you will get sensitive and not observe. So, I am here... becoming my cats.
And now that I have observed a lot of development stuff in relation to Lagos State, I need to have an appointment with Fashola, the governor. No kidding

Cats on Tuesdays: The Neutered/Spayed Feminist Cats

Finally, Governor Garfield, Senator Molly and Councillor Smallville got spayed and neutered respectively. For Kitten Smaville, he didn't find it a big deal. He bounced back immediately ( his was but a simple procedure). Good for him as he had already started mating with Garfield before he was even 5 months! He became 5 months on Dec. 31st. He is too big for his age hence his misbehaviour (lol). He was in the picture below sleeping on moi peacefully

Molly threw up a lot when she got spayed. She defeacted as well. Her system really reacted badly. She started eating a day after. I was to take her back to the vet last week Friday for her stitch to be removed. Lo and behold, vet was still in new year mood. He wasn't there. So, I removed everything myself. Yeah, doctor StandTall did. Molly is fine. Her urge to run out of the house is reducing after 2 failed attempt that led me to the roof to pick her again. StandTall Husband is trying to be friendly with her, I pray it works. They need to stop this " I don't like you either" attitude of thiers. Both of them. Below is Molly's Stitched Tummy!

My Garfield, she got spayed and slept for 24 hours! I was worried. I woke her up several times during the night but no way. She didn't budge. The vet had to give her more sleeping dose because she had a little benign tumor by the side of her uterus that has to be taking care of. Poor baby, she did not eat for 2 days! Yay. That's Garfield tummy below!

Now they are all bouncing back for good. My happy happy feminist cats. And yeah, President Scofield says hi

Hope you enjoy the above video. That's Socfield and Smallville little brawl
Both Smallville and Scofield were bothering me for food and StandTall husband was there to capture the scene

The Homecoming of the Prodigal Molly

I am so happy to announce Molly's return to you all. You have being so supportive. All your wonderful suggestions paid off. I caught her on the night of Ore's birthday. Ore's Xmas gifts to me which include 2009 Calender full of cat pictures and a cat magazine called CAT FANCY were good omen! And these gift are fabulous!

I got home that night and Molly was already out crying for food. I succeeded in luring her into taking the food right from my hand while I stroked her ( She had never got that close before). Phew, I captured her! She gave us a tough night. I over-sedated her with sleeping tablets but she didn't sleep. The tablets took effect on Friday night!

She cried a lot. She still cries, she purrs and she made an attempt to escape yesterday. Now she has calmed down. She is back to being my cat, my friend. I willl take her

Standtall Husband has mixed feelings. You know, I am sure Molly ran away for him (lol). Now, they are watching each other.

Thank you all for your love and concern during the trying period!

Garfield Shoulder is Dislocated

The recent tale of Garfield:

Got home a few night ago and StandTall husband was standing over garfield cleaning out blood on her injured Shoulder! She bled terribly and cried out each time we lift up that shoulder. I had to take permission from my boss to see the vet the following morning before getting to work. The vet confirm dislocation of Garfield Shoulder.

How she got this to happen still remain a mystery. We thought of all possible reasons from trying to jump down from the top of our wardrobe to running or ramming into our TV settie with the glass door while trying to escape from Scofield and Smallville. They always want to play with her but her not with them!

She took injections, got the shoulder bandaged (she fought it off before I could take a picture of it). She is now taking a daily dosage of Calcium tablet. It's being almost a week now, my poor Garfield still can't use the injured front foot to walk.

HEAL QUICK GOVERNOR GARFIELD!

Updates On My Missing Molly:

Molly isn't home yet, but she is aorund. She is always out at night to eat the nips I put out there for her. If the food isn't there on time, she cries out for it. She let me, StandTall husband and the feline kids see her but she runs from us. She doesn't let us close. She is so slim now like she has lost a lot of weight due to lack of regular food because she comes out only at night! Didn't get any cage from her vet to trap her and now I am trying to see if putting sleeping tablet in her food will make her sleep off where I can get her. Wish me luck

Why is molly being so naughty? She sure knows us but she doesn't want to come home!

Cats on Tuesday: A tale of 3 Cats

Molly's Case
:
My Aggressive Best friend, Molly is yet to be found. I have started putting cat's nips at the back of our house where she disappeared through. This paid of as I saw a cat head like Molly's a week ago eating out of the cat food. I approached the cat silently but still I missed it as she disappeared back inside the roof.
It's now a ritual for me to put nips out there and it's always disappearing. If only I can stay awake one night to see the cat eating away the nips. I want Molly back! ..............................................................................................................................................................

Meet Smallville:

He is one of Molly's four kittens that were adopted by catlovers. I had to get him back because the previous owner suddenly discovered he didn't want this gorgeous baby anymore. He took his furniture over Samuelson (his former name before we changed it to Smallville). Methink the guy is not a catlover but an admiral of kittens. He threatened to either throw Smallville away or give him to cat eaters. No way! He is now with us having fun!
...........................................................................................................................................................
Scofield! A litter box Case
Socfield the Don. Father of 8. Olorioko (Standtall Hubby branded him).
His best place is to take a nap inside the litter box!. He can't wait for it to be cleaned out phew he is in! He was there for more than 2 hours on Sunday enjoying himself. What a mentality!
What a CATitude sytle!

What did you adopt lately?

My Passion, my focus, the change that I want to see in the world - is my propellent factor.
