Blind Trust At Its Peak

I meant to bear my heart out on how deep I now see and witness corruption in Nigeria. I wanted to talk about my experience visiting Kirkiri, my exprience dealing with a unprofessional and unscrupulous laywer but something else has suddenly occupied my mind and I really want to share. This is one of the reasons I don't do religion any more, why I believe in building my own relationship with God and why I will rather trust my instinct and not think a pastor has it all, knows it all and is always Godsend!

A struggling guy eventually got a car from his company after 3 years of a loyal service. They had an arrangement for him to pay it off from his salary in a convenient manner. Well, the obedient and pastor-trusting guy, went to his church to get his car blessed. The pastor then saw a vision to collect the car and use it for 3 Months for God to surprise this guy as He promised in the vision. The pastor-trusting guy gave the car to his Godsend pastor. 7 Months later, he went to collect his car back but the pastor still ask him to believe and hold on for the micracle of multiple cars that will come his way. The case has now being taking to Lagos State Mediation Centre. I won't be surprised if this pastor has changed all the particulars to his name since the nice guy conveniently gave them away.

And this guy will still not let the church members know anything about this whole drama in order not to ruin his God's work. God's work? How many people will this pastor tell vision of bring your money, your house, your wife and they will gullibly believe it Where is the sanctuary of safety? I guess the only sanctuary of safety is in building a direct relationship with God and trusting Him and not be afraid to say no to all the so-called people of God if you have to!

Sorry, but I do find this a bit funny. In fact, very funny.
I usually wonder when I hear such stories. How could any educated person believe that kind of crap from a pastor who is almost certainly semi-literate? Except he used juju, which is very common among the so-called men of God today.
But then, what can we do, but pray that God should intervene?

The Activist said...

@ She: abi o and God has already intervene, we just need to use our wisdom really.

I also do not trust these pastors who preach seeding and prosperity and all that. That guy should speak up, the man is not doing God's work!

The Activist said...

@MM: you can say that again!!!

This young man owes it as a Christan duty to ensure that he speaks up so that no-one else gets duped.

The Activist said...

@ NN: my point too. He needsw to speak up.

Like you clearly pointed out, it is all about "...building a direct relationship with God and trusting Him..."

God does not contradict Himself. When He speaks, there is also confirmation from other sources.

To me it appears that the guy was "greedy" - expecting the miracle of multiple cars, and that is what is hurting many people in the church today.

It is not about religion, but about our relationship with God that makes the difference.

oh my g-a-w-d!!!...*jaw drop*

this is similar to what happened whe i was serving in jos. A soldier was paid off his total sum for his service years as he retired, the wife took the money to her pastor to bless unknowing to the hubby who had gone to make arrangement at their village for his come-back home. She wanted the name to be blessed so that 'evil' forces would not render the money useless. Alas! the MOG said the money should be left for overnight prayer! My sistah! na so money & pastor disappear o! When hubby returned from villa & could not find his money, hell was let loose! ALL HIS LIFE EARNINGS GONE IN A PUFF OF SMOKE! RETURNED PENNILESS TO THE VILLAGE, BUT NOT AFTER GIVING HIS WIFE THE BEATING OF HER LIFE!

Pastors!!???????...just see as tunde bakare fall my hand yakata!

ps: i was recently scammed off a wheel barrow by a mallam just last week!

That was funny and sad. Why would anyone believe in such crap in this day and age? And these men are placed in positions of authority. I fear for the future

The Activist said...

@ Ibhade NG: I reckon you did not get your wheel barrow back. Na wa o. Kai, was the soldier wife a retard? There is no end to the authority we give the so called people of God.

@ LusciousRon: I fear for the future too. It is sad.
