TAGGED AT LAST

Guess it is time to do 6 quirk things about me since I have been so tagged by Oluwadee and Ajike.
1. I am always thinking; It does not matter what the subject on my mind is, though it is everything. I will think in my sleep over things I could change or things that should have been etc, I would still wake up thinking. I think , I wonder, I wander and I take in scenes all over my head and around me.
2. I always replay incidents in my head and it gets worse if am the one that made the mistake or did something too right like given out a necessary outburst, I will keep replaying everything in my head. Sei this head of mine.

3. I am an incurable gender activist and feministmy head snaps, my antenna receives danger signals anytime I hear any negative, derogatory comments about women. No, I must address this. I do, I do. Getting into argument all the time. I even analyze adverts like dettol “if I don’t take care of them/him who so, who takes care of her?

4. I can’t seem to wake up early, cos of that have to fast forward my phone alarm since I don’t have a wrist watch, (what is the point anyway since my 2 phones always tell the time) 30mins in advance so I can wake up to make it out of the house on time.

5. I fix peoples faces with whatever it is they resemble from bird to goat to rat, to ram, to lizard to cat to dog i.e snopp and of course to other human beings they look like on TV, on the road, name it. Well, I usually share this with hubby and a few friends. Not all before they will think I have fixed their faces too. I felt our former vice president resembles a bull while Obasanjo resembles a chimpanzee. Yes only God will forgive me, what do I resemble? Of course I am a pretty looking hippo (do you believe that for a minute?)

6. Can’t keep things I am no longer using e.g old clothes, shoes, etc I always look for people to give. First, to help the world, second cos I consider keeping stuff am not using junks. And I know things I no longer need due to growing tired of it or they don’t fit like I think they would are always useful to someone else.

P:S: do you know I had a crush on Michael Scofield of Prison Break? My Hubby left me to bask in the euphoria of my dream until I got over it and named my male cat after him (lol).
Peace out. Tagging: Ore, blazingdaola, Don, Abbie, Pyoowata and Vera

..with you on 6 and almost on 4 as in not having a wrist watch...after all, my 2 phones tell me the time. But, i just might buy a wrist watch as a fashion accessory.

i share 1, 2, 3 & 6 with u!!!!!!!!!!!!!

abt 3, sometimes i dread being called a feminist, cos i picture bra-burning, no panties-wearing, men-hating, lesbian women wen i hear 'feminist'. now, am none of these things. i love men! seriously i love them. i esp enjoy d sight of an erect penis (if it's big o), so i really doubt i could ever b a lesbian.

hmmm, linking faces with animals. i wonder wot i'd be??

The Activist said...

@FFF, the word feminist has nothing to do with hating men (I am married), being a lesbian (I am not), I wear pants and bra. I can't not do anything about it if the word has being misused but I am sure in good order by upholding the real principle of feminism which is not far from the believe that women are inherently equal to men and deserve equal rights and opportunities. ...
If I see your face, may be you will be a fine looking bear (lol)

@Onome, why are you not an activist yet? Join me o

FFF, check this site out for more clarity on feminism. TX. http://happyfeminist.typepad.com/happyfeminist/2006/01/feminism_is_not.html

I do this man to animal thing. Didn't know anyone else shared that quirk. I had a lecturer, who looked like a hawk and I'd stare and wonder during class. Oh, yeah, some look like friendly bull-dogs, some like canaries...

Lovely cats you have there.

The Activist said...

@Laspapi, well can you tell me the lecturer's name? Is this in O.A.U cos I knew you went to O.A.U.
Dont get worried about how I know u o. You r that popular. Great IFE!!!

@Nneoma, I thot I left a msg on your blog that you have been tag. Sorry my mistake

@Chioma, so how did you handle the crush thing???

@my lady LG, yes, I have got 3 cats Scofeild (Male), Garfield (Female) and Molly (female) lol

I was studying for my masters' at the University of Lagos. He's a Professor of Law and the similarity struck me in every class.

Yes, I got my first degree from Ife. You nko? You'll *whisper* to me who you are?

laspapi said...

Ah, we share zodiac signs too...

The Activist said...

@ Laspapi, of course I will wispher who I be. Ore introduced us at Muson Centre when we came for the Virgina Monologue and I read your bio.... I finished from Ife tooo.

laspapi said...

Great Ife! Those from there, stand tall.

The Activist said...

Abi ooooooooooo. We stand tall all the time o

isha said...

I get so worked up when people relate feminism to gender bias or lesbianism or all that crazy talk.
It works just the same way 'anti-racism' works. It's about providing a support system for the so-called lesser gender. I support you o jare stand-tall.
I can't seem to wake up early either, so I've been called 'night-duty' so many times, cos I always do all my work for as long as I need to stay awake.

The Activist said...

@Isha it beats my imagination too that pple will just misinterpret Feminism as they wish or like without getting a deep understanding of how it works.I always like to do research b4 concluding on anything, I wish this goes for everyone else.
I have had to argue that the work of anti-racial group is not dissimilar to what a feminist advocates for.
They call you "Night-duty" while I was once named "Nightingale"

As for quirk 4, i cannot help it. I think i was a cat in my last life. I can sleep for hours at a go, wake up, shower and eat and head for the bed again...so lazy!

Rayo said...
