CATS ON TUESDAY is a group of cat lovers
who share pictures and/or stories about their cats once a week, hosted by Gattina. Socfield refused to come out of God knows where this morning until I located him behind our lundary basket. He then jumped an hid right on my leg in the kitchen while I stood by the sink. He has since being hiding in open places with serious spasm of his body. Scofield on my bag on the dining table yesterday night
He has not gone to eat his food today, he did not go out of the house has he usually does in the morning, he wails, meows loudly on and off, he graps his tail and behind for a bite in sudden moves and his breathing is rapid like someone that is in fear of something. I have gone on the internet to find out what could be the matter, I am still searching and hoping I find something meaningful. Well, I am crying out on his behalf here, what do you think could be the case with him? Yes, I am thinking of asking the vet but he always ask me to bring them in for examination you know and I don't have the time at the moment. Which is kind of painful. Scofield to the left, Smallville to the right and Garfield inside the open drawer. Small kitten sleeping on Socfield chest/stomach!
I rescued a cat on my way from Kenya Embassy last month. I am still looking for a home for the blossoming kitten. She has blossomed since she got in with us. I saw the poor kitten by the road, I was about to step on her before I saw her properly eating something I couldn't tell and just standing there in the rain, wet, hopless and lonely. I carried the kitten and she is doing fine at the moment. I need a home for her though and I will be glad to find a cat lover that doesn't mind having her. The rescued blossoming kitten!
The kitten is very neat, she uses the litter, she follows my older cats in all their funny steps. She has stopped eating rice since my older cats don't eat-lol. She initially liked it until she saw that the older cat don't even touch it. Imagine!

I don't know much about cat behavior. I was going to suggest the vet as well. Your cat DOES resemble my Miles.
That is strange indeed. I wish I could offer some suggestions, but I haven't experience this before. The vet is still the best bet!
I can't help you either, sorry! A visit to the vet is advisable.
Your cats look great together, love the table pic!
I don't know what could be wrong, hopefully nothing serious. What a neat picture of the three cats!

Awww poor Scofield. I hope he gets better. Maybe your husband could take him to the vet if you're busy? It was sweet of you to rescue the kitten :)
We certainly hope the Scofield starts doing better, and that you find a home for the kitten - how great that you rescued her!
Poor Scofield. If in addition to all this he's not peeing, or peeing while howling, he could have a blocked urinary tract, something that tends to attack cats fed exclusively on biscuits more than cats fed on a wet or wet and dry diet. This is a killer condition unless treated quickly.
On the other hand, he may just be feeling wild because there is a bit cat outside scaring him!
If you're busy, can you hubby take him to the vet?
Thought you'd stopped cat blogging. Good to see you back!
The veterinarian would know best. Anything else would just be opinions. You just never know, it could be something serious or maybe not. It is better not to take a chance.
All your pictures are really cute. The cats are very pretty.

Hello and happy COT :). What beautiful cats you have. The kitten you rescued seems very smart and good character, hot you find her a friendly family..have a great day :) MONikaORse
If he chases his tail and bites in it, maybe he has something at his tail ? Anyway spasmes are always dangerous and you should try to get to the vet or at least call him and ask what it could be.
The kitty is so cute, I hope you will find a good home for it.
hmmm, Cats! They sure have their mood swings too.
Aw, I'm sorry to hear about Scofield and hope he's feeling better. None of my cats have ever behaved that way so I don't know what to say except you'll probably need to go to the vet. And that is so kind to take in the kitten. Hope someone's able to adopt her!
Thank you all for your wonderful suggestions. I am grateful.
Hi Standtall - I thought that I left a post earlier today, but it is not there, so I must have done something wrong.
I'm sorry to learn about Scofield. I think that he needs to go to the vet. All I can do from is speculate. Also, if he has something that is contagious, he could pass it on to the kitten.
@ GK: Thanks for the email and I am expecting a response to my last email to you
